The New Three-Way “Contour” – “For the side or top of the wrist.”
 
Only produced for two years -1938/39, this is for sure one of the interesting watch design produced by Hamilton in the late 1930s and marketed to fit comfortably on the wrist. Sometimes, this watch was referred to as "curvex", knowing that several models had dramatically curved and elongated cases. This watch design is perfect to fit the exact contour of either large or small wrist. Because the flexible lugs style, this watch is also referred to as "drivers watch".
 
It is a manual wind watch powered by a Hamilton movement grade 980, sized 14/0, 17 jewels movement, no second hand, U.S.A. made. The movement orients it with the stem upward at the 12 (rather than the traditional right side by the 3).
 
Cased in 26.7mm rectangle case with fancy flexible lugs design – the flexible lugs permit close, natural fit on the top or beneath the wrist as well. All in 14K natural yellow gold-filled.
 
In beautiful condition, the original champagne dial with 18K applied gold numerals, bold railroad minute track and matching hands.
 
It is coming with a vintage Burgundy color alligator Genuine Leather two-piece strap.

This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
